What is Content Services?
Content Services was previously known as “enterprise content management” (ECM), but with changing market dynamics linked to an organisations different digital content needs, the term ECM is no longer relevant.
As such, organisation needs to rethink their technology approach with a new mindset in order stay competitive and lead within their industry and environment. As defined by Gartner, Inc. an American research and advisory firm, who provide information technology-related insight, the term Content Services can be defined as:
“A set of services and micro-services embodied either as an integrated product suite or as separate applications that share common APIs and repositories, to exploit diverse content types and to serve multiple constituencies and numerous use cases across an organisation.” – Gartner
